AlumNet is a program matching student members with participating alumnus members through e-mail to:
share information about a field, company, institution, location, etc.,
facilitate the establishment of networks critical for career development, and
identify alumni willing to serve as guest speakers and chapter advisors.
This program provides an opportunity for alumni to serve the organization and student members by volunteering to be contacted via e-mail by Tau Beta Pi student members to offer advice, observations, chapter assistance, or general information, or to assist them with decisions about jobs or graduate schools. It also provides an opportunity for students to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge possessed by the vast alumni membership of Tau Beta Pi.
Alumni - register with the program database
Students - submit a request for contact information
When a student registers, the Coordinator searches the database for an appropriate contact, narrowing the search by using geographical location, company, industry, and job title as criteria. When a match is identified, the Coordinator suggests a mentor to the student.
Students - will be provided with contact information for an alum.
Alumni - may or may not be contacted by a student, depending on the requests received.
